Glauber’s salt is frequently used to production of sodium sulfide, ultramarine, sodium silicate and
other chemicals. It is also used to produce sulfite pulp in papermaking industry, substitute for soda
in glass industry, be filler in dye industry, be dyeing auxiliary in dyeing industry, laxative and
antidote against barium salt poisoning, etc. Moreover, it also can be applied to synthetic fiber,
tanning, nonferrous metallurgy, enamel paint, soap, etc.
