But the average indentation depth of Duroflex modified asphalt concrete over 20,000 times of rolling is 3.4mm. Taking into account the difference in formulation of asphalt mixtures in the testing project, the results of this experiment can be considered as quite good, and are also fully consistent with the requirements of constructing high strength, high-grade roads with stone mastic asphalt mixture.

Mechanism.
    Duroflex®’s outstanding fusion capability is achieved via the polymer structure of additives, and good surface performance of cavity-like particle group composed of single Duroflex ® particles of the additives. It improves overall performance of asphalt mixture by increasing viscosity, reinforcing, filling particles in aggregate surface, asphalt modification and other approaches.
    Hot aggregate and Duroflex ® are fully dry mixed, melted Duroflex forms modified additives film on the surface of hot aggregate, after adding asphalt and slag and mixing, modified additives film and bitumen film form an interlayer, in the paving, rolling until the asphalt freezing, a steady dispersing process exists in the asphalt mixture. After the road surface is formed, the polymers solidify in a very discrete state in the asphalt, forms a high strength curing structure, such curing structure also enhances the flexibility of the asphalt, improves softening point of asphalt, reduces the temperature sensitivity, increases adhesion of asphalt and aggregate, so that the shaped asphalt pavement’s permeability is greatly reduced, and resistance to water damage is greatly increased.
    Duroflex ® mixed with hot aggregate, will form a polymer bridge between the mineral array and the asphalt binder, with the role of fiber, network structure is formed in cement compound, strengthening the interaction and integrity between asphalt, mineral filler and binder system. The micro-crystalline areas formed by such polymers cross-link in the aggregate skeleton to form reinforcing effect.
    Other ingredients in Duroflex® play effects through the special physical and chemical functions between the asphalt mortar and slag components. The sum of all the action principles will increase the strength of asphalt concrete obtained under high temperature by several times, while at low temperatures, the ability of anti-cracks will also increase by several times.
